Las Terrazas, is a rural community, a natural area that occupies about 5000 hectares and is one of the paradise of the province of Pinar del Rio, land of the best snuff in the world, blessed by nature, boasts two of the six Reservations World Biosphere in the island and where a project combines sustainable development and tourism in the area, experience designed for the purpose of initiating the tourist exploitation of the beautiful mountainous area.
Its importance and interest is enhanced by its location in the Sierra del Rosario, declared in 1985 as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
The center of the entertainment industry in that territory is in Moka Hotel, with 26 rooms, built in the valley of "San Juan" at the bottom of the "Loma del Salón".

The history of coffee cultivation in the area at the beginning of the nineteenth century, is also one of the main attractions that vacationers are in the Buenavista Restaurant, located in the ruins of a farm of the same name dedicated to the cultivation of coffee bean and founded by French immigrants.
For Creole food is the "Casa del Campesino", with the habits and customs of the rural inhabitants of the island, even built with natural materials, the yard with pets, fruit trees and gardens. The Highlanders cherish traditions and customs for centuries, linked to forms of culture, and artistic expressions of deeply rooted, like popular poets disputes, serenades and peasant parties, faithful reflection of the lifestyle of the locals.
